Formed a strategic academic exchange alliance with Evangel Christian University and Kingdom College in Louisiana. Dr. Joseph Lee was invited as the guest speaker for the 70th Anniversary Service of Hwabon Church (near Daegu)—one of the 13 churches pioneered by his late father, Evangelist Man-Cheol Lee, in the Gyeongbuk region around the Korean War era. During the historic service, President Lee delivered the sermon and conferred an Honorary Doctor of Ministry (Hon. D.Min.) degree upon the Senior Pastor, Rev. Seong-Mu Hong.

Leadership University of America was established in 1998 in San Diego, California, as an evangelical, interdenominational seminary. In June 2006, the campus relocated to Rancho Cucamonga, California. The institution was envisioned to train and equip 21st-century gospel ministers to become world-class Christian leaders. The university is officially registered with the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) and holds 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status as a non-profit religious organization from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

In 2004, the university formed a strategic academic partnership with Evangel Christian University and Kingdom College in Louisiana, allowing for dual degree recognition in both English and Korean. Through this affiliation with the AEGA denomination, both male and female graduates who earn a Master’s degree from our institution are fully eligible to receive formal ordination as pastors and missionaries.

To expand this gospel mission, New York Christian College was established as the East Coast branch, proudly hosting its annual graduation and degree conferral ceremonies in New York every December.
